The Position

Social Services Managers plan, organize, direct and manage the activities, staff and functions necessary to provide social services in an assigned region or district office and its satellites.

Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives.

We are seeking a Social Services Manager 4 to lead and manage operations for the Targeted Outreach Partnerships (TOP) team in conjunction with a Las Vegas District Office. This position is responsible for directing the daily activities, managing all levels of staff, and programs within 232 Community Partner sites. This position oversees multiple community events per month, is manager over Homeless to Housing, the statewide Disaster Team, the Opportunity Village contract, is responsible for mileage tracking and statewide tracking of the TOP team. This role operates under the general direction of the POST Chief. The Social Services Manager 4 will plan, organize, and oversee social service operations to ensure effective delivery and compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. This includes supervising and training supervisory staff, developing internal policies, allocating resources, and resolving complex and sensitive issues. The manager will also play a vital role in coordinating with other offices, community partners, and stakeholders to integrate services and improve program outcomes.

To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, health or social science, public administration or related field and four years of supervisory experience in the implementation of social services programs; directing the operation of a program unit; coordinating program activities with officials and representatives of other agencies; interpretation and application of complex federal regulations; and writing program policies, procedures, and reports; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
