Senior Software Engineer
Anchor positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Lead the development of eCommerce microservices platform using a combination of open-source frameworks (Java) and Cloud native technology stack. Design, develop, and implement scalable microservices architecture that will support the company's business requirements. Provide technical guidance and support throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop a scalable microservices platform. Design, develop, and implement high-quality, reusable, and testable code that adheres to industry best practices and standards. Build reusable frameworks and work closely with DevOps and other teams to ensure the platform is highly available, scalable, and fault tolerant. Handle operations issues with little or no oversight. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to standards, patterns, and architecture principles. Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides for the platform.
