Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Electronics

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, test, and qualify power electronics and circuit board designs for aerospace and defense applications. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in PCB design, analog/digital circuits, and power conversion who enjoys taking ownership of projects from concept through qualification.

What You'll Do

  • Review customer technical requirements and translate them into electrical design solutions.
  • Design and analyze PCBs for power supplies, battery chargers, and battery management circuits.
  • Develop and validate electrical architectures within cost, schedule, and performance constraints.
  • Lead product qualification testing to meet standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461.
  • Write and execute test plans, procedures, and reports (ATP, test documentation).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on both new and existing products.
  • Use simulation tools (Matlab, PSPICE) to model and validate design concepts.
  • Support system integration and testing of hardware and software.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: BSEE (required), MSEE preferred.
  • Experience: 7-10 years in PCB electrical design (power electronics preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuits and PWM control for AC/DC and DC/DC conversion.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, DAQs, etc.).
  • Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems (C/C++, assembly) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
