This position exists to conduct on site screening of newly, currently, or reenrolling Minnesota Health Care Program (MHCP) providers. The role of the Screening Specialist is to travel throughout the state to conduct screening activity for moderate or high-risk providers to verify accuracy of information submitted to the Department of Human Services (DHS) and to review compliance with Federal and State requirements for enrollment eligibility. Screening activities are a key step in identifying and preventing program integrity concerns.
Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years professional experience in the area of compliance monitoring, provider enrollment, or experience with rules and regulations regarding Minnesota Health Care Programs.

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of fee-for-service and Managed Care Organizations, Minnesota Medicaid Information System (MMIS), SharePoint, Case Tracker, Electronic Data Management System (EDMS/Navigator) and the role of compliance, oversight, and regulation, specifically in government
Conduct "fitness tests" of enrolling or reenrolling providers to gain knowledge and detect any potential program integrity concerns.
Critical thinking and professional judgement in order to react and pivot actions on site in response to situations.
Written skills to be able to document findings and recommendations in an accurate, clear and concise manner.
Typing and computer skills to perform data entry, report generation, and electronic system navigation.
Time management and organizational skills in order to use time and resources efficiently.
Practice and implement safety measures and techniques while working in the field independently.
Communication skills in order to clearly convey expectations and direction to providers
Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
Additional Requirements
Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License with no disqualifying moving violations within the past two (2) years.
Be able to navigate physical environments that may not be accessible.
Be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds intermittently
