As the Scale Operator/Customer Service Representative (CSR) at Lyons Salt Company, you will provide customer service duties for the markets serviced by the Lyons, KS facility and general support to the area sales manager. This critical role works closely with customers, salespersons, and vendors to maintain an effective supply chain management process and helps to ensure the shipping function runs efficiently by checking truck drivers in/out, answering phones, and providing customer service that is second to none.
Duties & Responsibilities
Receive customer orders, input orders into the system, and work with the handler/carrier to ensure that the order is fulfilled correctly and timely
Obtain/update customer set up information and work with credit manager to establish approved level of credit on account
Receive, respond to, and resolve all customer inquiries
Check trucks in upon arrival at Lyons, KS facility ensuring proper order confirmation number and necessary check-in documents
Dispatch trucks to the proper loading point or stage trucks appropriately for efficient loading
After loading and prior to exit from facility, check trucks out by weighing trucks, entering weights into order entry system, verifying trucks received correct product(s), and printing bill of ladings
Work with customers, salespersons, and vendors to maintain an effective supply chain management process
Proof & email customer invoices (daily) and customer statements (monthly)
Prepare samples of products produced at the Lyons, KS facility and distribute to customers (or potential customers) per area salesperson requests
