Sales Reporting Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Reporting Analyst to join our team in Newport Beach, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and updating financial reports to support business operations. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial tools who is eager to contribute to a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze sales data to identify patterns, trends, and key insights that inform decision-making.
  • Prepare and update financial sheets and reports with accurate and timely information.
  • Utilize Tableau to create visualizations and dashboards that enhance reporting clarity.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure sales reporting aligns with organizational goals.
  • Apply advanced Excel formulas and functions to streamline reporting processes.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to support strategic planning and performance evaluation.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency across spreadsheets and accounting systems.
  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis to improve financial outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and reporting practices.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to manage workload efficiently.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data manipulation.
  • Experience working with Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and present actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with accounting software systems and spreadsheet management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
