Sales Representative - All Other US (Excludes CA, CO, NY, WA)

Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in International Paper Packaging Solutions North America US Core, Bulk and Solid Fiber sales commission plan which has significant commission earning potential.

Salaried Full-Time

The job you will perform includes:

  • Professionally and effectively representing International Paper's Packaging Solutions North America (PSNA) business in the packaging marketplace.
  • Successfully managing a sales territory by developing and fostering sound customer relationships.
  • Generating profitable sales through regular and customary in-person interactions with prospective and existing customers.
  • Examining and evaluating a customer's packaging needs and offering recommendations to fulfill those needs.
  • Profitably growing the business with priority strategic accounts by developing and implementing Key Account Plans.
  • Enabling profitable decision-making through knowledge of general business principles, internal financial management, and industry business practices.
  • Identifying and implementing value propositions with priority customers through knowledge and application of IP corporate/business capabilities and resources.
  • Creating IP advantage through continuous evaluation of market conditions, competitive environment, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Traveling to multiple customer sites/meetings weekly and working in a variety of environments, including client sites and trade events (50% or more of the time).
  • May act as account team leader.
  • Bilingual proficiency required (English and Spanish).
  • Must be able to travel to Mexico.

The qualifications, skills, and knowledge you will bring include:

  • BA/BS in a related field or related equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • 2+ years of sales experience.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Experience in the corrugated box industry is a plus.
  • Action oriented.
