Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Project Tester to support the United States Postal Service (USPS) onsite in Merrifield, VA. This individual will be responsible for translating customer contract requirements into system testing strategies that address technical, timeline, and budgetary limitations. The ideal candidate will need an understanding of project management principles to manage defining project scope, timelines, deliverables, maintain work schedules, technical documentation and identify implementing technical improvements.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Plan labor, schedules, and equipment necessary for testing and evaluating both standard and specialized devices.
Develop and direct the preparation and execution of comprehensive master test plans and test environments, including all equipment required for end-to-end system testing.
Coordinate integrated testing activities across teams and disciplines.
Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness and accuracy of the test program.
Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare detailed system-level evaluations and test reports.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills with the ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity.
Experience in data analysis, project management and testing methodologies.
Proven experience supporting user acceptance testing, preparing technical documents, reviewing test documentation and change requests.
Must have good written and oral communication skills.
Client Security Requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain a USPS Sensitive Clearance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and have been living in the U.S. for at least the last five years.
Must not have traveled outside of the United States for more than 180 days in the last five years.

Preferred Requirements
Proven track record in developing and directing master test plans and test environments for end-to-end system testing.
Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).
Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodology and its application to system testing and project management.
