DOD Cyber Excepted Service Personnel System Position

This position is with U.S. Cyber Command, J7 Force Development Directorate, J74 Training Capabilities Division, Office of the J7 (T12) located at Fort Meade, Maryland. Responsibilities include managing a team of 20 military and civilian personnel and approximately 100 contract staff. Ensures efficient allocation of resources to achieve organizational goals while maintaining fiscal responsibility and meeting expenditure rate targets. Responsible for leading and managing training support operations on the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) platform for cyberspace operations forces, Geographic Combatant Commands, partners, and other stakeholders. Oversees 24/7 helpdesk operations, range engineering support, content management, and mission rehearsals and exercise support across all three classification domains. Ensures the effective execution of cyber training, exercises, and mission rehearsals to support the readiness of USCYBERCOM, cyberspace operations forces, cyber national mission forces, service cyber components, and other organizations.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by operating within the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) platform for cyberspace operations forces; planning, directing, organizing and exercising control over supervisory and non-supervisory employees performing cyber-related duties; serving as a subject matter expert to monitor requirements and plan or develop cyberspace-related training; assisting in monitoring an operational budget and contract expenditures to support mission objectives; and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and resolve programmatic and/or operational issues.

Education: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone - no substitution for experience is permitted.
