Now hiring a Production Engineer to assist a local manufacturing facility in Caribou. Excellent foot-in-the door role for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to grow their experience and leadership skills. Four-day schedule with great starting pay and benefits; PTO, 401k, and medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance. Full-Time/Days; 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Thursday. $25.00 - $30.00/hr., depending on experience.

The Production Engineer will play a key role in supporting ongoing manufacturing operations by leading the setup and implementation of a new production line. This is a hands-on opportunity to take ownership of a major project, guiding the development of new systems and shaping future production capabilities. The successful candidate will oversee a small team while seeking out ways to enhance process efficiency, safety, and product quality across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Support the setup, testing, and optimization of new manufacturing processes.
• Oversee day-to-day production activities for a new product line, including supervising other team members.
• Design and improve tools, fixtures, and processes to increase efficiency and quality.
• Create and update bills of materials, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade production equipment as needed.
• Perform root cause analyses and identify process improvements.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and production leaders to implement new solutions.
• Participate in design-for-manufacturing discussions and assist in production readiness assessments.
• Perform other relevant duties as requested by supervisors.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.
• Ability to work in an ISO9001 controlled production environment (AS9100 preferred).
• Familiarity with 3D and 2D CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar programs).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, metal forming, etc.
• Working knowledge of engineering drawing creation and interpretation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP software (like SYSPRO) is a plus.
