Product Development Engineer Intern
The AMSOIL Product Development team is looking for a Product Development Engineer Intern for summer 2026. The summer internship program typically begins after spring semester and ends before the start of the fall semester. This is an exciting opportunity for students who are highly motivated, enjoy a challenge, and are looking to expand their career. This position reports on-site to the AMSOIL Center in Superior, Wisconsin.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support key research topics to give insights on industry trends to drive technical opportunities.
- Investigate emerging test methods in the industry, and opportunities for correlation to field performance.
- Report out on project progress to cross functional teams, including leadership.
- Independently manage product testing and maintain professional communication with both internal and external laboratory partners.
- Record and analyze data with the mechanical laboratory for product optimization.
- Measure and test outsourced parts for streamlining inspection process.
- Support design process of a test stand, including initial planning, detailed design, fabrication, and implementation.
Position Requirements:
- Must be working towards a bachelor\'s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Must have completed Sophomore year by start of internship.
- Available 40 hours/week Monday - Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the summer months.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Can work and enjoys working independently with little to no supervision.
- Excellent organization skills with a keen attention to detail.
