Postdoctoral Associate / Fellow (Fixed Term)

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) ranks among the best in the country. Our research programs are at the forefront of the technologies that have changed the world we live in. Our interdisciplinary approach to education and research allows faculty and student across the university and beyond to collaborate on problems that have a significant impact on the world around us.

Carnegie Mellon University's Zheng Research group is seeking a scholar to conduct independent research under the direction of Drs. Siyang Zheng and Pulkit Grover on engineering development for healthcare applications, integrated AI, and related projects.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research aligned with the themes above
  • Guide graduate and undergraduate students
  • Participate in manuscript and grant preparation
  • Optionally participate in workshop organization or broader impacts activities
  • Project reports
  • Present results at scientific conferences
  • Share the required lab maintenance duties
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
