Engineer Technician III

This position is for evening (PM) shifts. Regular work hours are typically between 3pm and 11:30pm. Candidates must be available to work during these hours as scheduled.

In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of a wide variety of systems throughout the resort. Your expertise will be essential in keeping our guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front-of-house areas running flawlessly, as well as maintaining vital back-of-house systems like the kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

As a Tech III, you'll be the key player in performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, using a state-of-the-art Windows-based computer system. You'll work with cutting-edge technology to keep our operations running seamlessly, ensuring both our guests and team members experience nothing short of excellence.

The pay rate for this position is $22.00-$24.00 hourly. This is the pay rate for this position that Grand Hyatt Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Shift coverage across various maintenance areas, requiring a keen eye for detail and quick troubleshooting abilities
  • Performing preventative maintenance on major equipment and systems, ensuring the longevity and efficiency of all resort facilities
  • Utilizing Windows-based systems to manage and track maintenance activities
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics to aid in system repairs and improvements
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting life-safety systems, guaranteeing guest and team member safety at all times

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing)
  • Experience with life-safety systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance techniques
  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems for maintenance tracking
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and reliable, with the ability to cover shifts as needed
