The Department of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and successful individual with a background in Pulmonary Medicine for an academic clinician faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Attending rank. The Pulmonary Service provides expertise in Pulmo-Oncology, General Pulmonary Medicine, and Interventional Pulmonology. We offer a full range of consultative services with focus on longitudinal multidisciplinary oncologic care, the immunocompromised host, complications of oncologic therapy (drug-induced or radiation-induced pneumonitis, post stem cell transplant complications), peri-operative management, and chronic lung disease (including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, pulmonary nodules, chronic cough). Interventional Pulmonology provides renowned expertise in the full range of diagnostic bronchoscopy, bronchoscopic palliation of central airway obstruction, custom airway stents, percutaneous tracheostomy and the full spectrum of pleural disease management. We are a leading center for robotic-assisted bronchoscopy, and first to integrate mobile cone-beam CT imaging and cryobiopsy. Pulmonary hosts two fellowships, one in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine and the other in Interventional Pulmonology and collaborate with an integrated Pulmonary APP inpatient team. The Pulmonary research portfolio continues to expand in breadth, with active publications, new prospective clinical trials and external funding.
The ideal candidate should be Board Eligible/Board Certificated in Pulmonary Medicine, interest in multidisciplinary management of patients with cancer, immunocompromised state, complications of oncologic therapies, and possess the ability to work in a cohesive, dynamic team environment.
