Outside Sales Representative

$48,000 - $50,000 Plus healthy commission plan with OTE $150k+

What will you be doing?

Lead Generation & Prospecting

Identify, approach, and engage potential residential or commercial customers.

Conduct door-to-door outreach, field marketing, community events, and in-person consultations.

Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects.

Consultation & Sales

Assess customer energy needs and provide customized solar solutions.

Educate customers about system designs, environmental benefits, financial incentives, and ROI.

Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.

Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to contract signing.

Customer Relationship Management

Maintain strong follow-up communication to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

Work closely with design, engineering, and installation teams to support project success.

Utilize CRM tools to track activities, leads, and sales metrics.

Market & Industry Knowledge

Stay informed on solar technologies, state/federal incentives, utility policies, and industry trends.

Represent the company at local events, trade shows, and community outreach programs.

What do you bring?

Proven success in outside sales, field sales, or direct customer-facing roles (solar or renewable energy experience a plus).

Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently.

Comfortable working outdoors and conducting in-person consultations.

Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them in simple terms.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills

Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

Background in renewable energy, home improvement, or B2B sales.
