Global Operational Key Account Manager

Join our Operational Key Account Team at Kuehne + Nagel and play a pivotal role in driving Operational Excellence and Process Improvements to enhance customer satisfaction. As a Global Operational Key Account Manager, you'll be the bridge between our customers and operations, ensuring we deliver on our Customer Promise every day.

How you create impact:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement and trust-building.
  • Clarify, negotiate, and formalize operational requirements with customers.
  • Design and implement customer-specific solutions to boost satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on our service offerings to support new business.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for new business implementations and joint projects.
  • Identify operational risks and communicate them effectively across teams.
  • Represent customer needs within the broader Kuehne + Nagel operational organization.
  • Create and maintain Master Operating Procedures (MOPs) and support local SOPs.
  • Support system setup and process automation initiatives.
  • Define and negotiate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with stakeholders.
  • Develop reports to monitor performance and analyze root causes of non-performance.
  • Present data and insights during global Business Reviews and assist in preparation.

What we would like you to bring:

  • 6+ years of Sea and/or Air Logistics operations, order management systems, and process improvement experience.
  • 3+ years experience in an account management role.
  • Experience leading cross functional projects.
  • Project management certifications like PMP or Kaizen beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data. #LI-KE1
