Mission Support Specialist Of Ostc

You will serve as a Mission Support Specialist of OSTC. Responsibilities include providing assistance to the attorneys and other staff members and the day-to-day management of all administrative matters within their office. You will be responsible for the day-to-day client intake, appointment scheduling, and case file management associated with the provision of legal services. You will perform other various duties related to support and routine administrative support throughout the legal office. You will answer incoming phone calls and inquiries from visitors, using utmost discretion in screening and referring calls/visitors to the appropriate staff member or attorney. You will conduct initial client intake by completing the electronic client intake sheet on a local office data program and schedules clients for appointments.

Requirements include demonstrating one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following tasks: use of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Pro software; familiarity with using online databases or case management software; travel (DTS); interpersonal skills to liaise with commands, victims, witnesses, attorneys, investigators, and other Navy stakeholders to schedule appointments or receive or give updates on case status; organizational skills to generate case files for attorneys and paralegals; ability to generate and distribute correspondence; ability to assemble legal filings drafted by others. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement.
