Shipping Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our Manufacturing Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing outbound shipments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of manufactured products to customers and other Amazon facilities.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Process and prepare outbound shipments according to standard operating procedures
  • Verify package contents, weights, and shipping labels for accuracy
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Use internal shipping systems to track and document shipments
  • Package items appropriately to prevent damage during transit
  • Maintain organized shipping/receiving areas
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures
  • Coordinate with carriers and transportation providers
  • Perform quality checks on packaged items

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of shipping/receiving experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with computers and shipping software
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Valid forklift certification (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher
  • 2+ years experience in shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment
  • Current forklift certification
  • Experience with automated shipping systems
  • OSHA safety certification
  • Experience with inventory management
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $63,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $104,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
