This Medical Support Assistant (MSA) position is in the Central Business Office of the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Responsibilities include serving as the primary liaison between CAVHS and the contracted lodging facility for scheduling appointments, scheduling, canceling, and re-scheduling patient's lodging, entering no-show information, monitoring the electronic wait list, preparing for lodging visits, interpreting and verifying provider consults, monitoring medical staff verification of lodging eligibility, advising veterans and medical staff of the veteran's entitlement to lodging, and reconciling sign-in rosters from the contracted lodging facility.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Schedule will be discussed during the interview. Schedule subject to change based on the needs of the service.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship. Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Experience and Education. (1) Experience. Six months experience of clerical, office, customer service, or other administrative work that indicates the ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position; OR, (2) Education. One year above high school; OR, (3) Experience/Education Combination. Equivalent combination of experience and education are qualifying for entry level for which both education and experience are acceptable. Certification. None required. English Language Proficiency. Medical Support Assistants must be proficient in spoken and written English in accordance with VA Policy.
