Night Shift Mechanical Operating Engineer

A client of Insight Global is looking for a night shift Mechanical Operating Engineer. This person will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for assigned properties. Their duties will include maintaining a clean and safe environment, performing rounds, routine assessments, and day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance. Their responsibilities also encompass painting, housekeeping, and general upkeep of their Data Center.

Essential functions include performing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks, maintaining heating equipment, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and air distribution systems. The engineer monitors and adjusts mechanical/pneumatic equipment, performs repairs, and ensures energy management. Additional tasks involve general repairs, preventive maintenance, inspections, and responding to emergencies. Compliance with codes, regulations, and safety training is mandatory.

Skills and Requirements

  • Experience working with Uninterrupted Power Supply Units
  • Experience working with generators ranging above 1800kw
  • Experience working with commercial and/or industrial size chillers
  • Must be familiar with commercial HVAC units EPA/HVAC Certification
  • Hands-on commercial HVAC experience
  • High Voltage Electrical experience
