GFT is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Tacoma, WA. This is an excellent opportunity to independently perform mechanical engineering (HVAC and design calculations, technical studies and prepares plans and specifications for a wide variety of project types which may include commercial, education, municipal, aviation, and federal clients. Exercise independent judgement in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet client requirements. Provide general oversight, control, and management of design-related activities as the originator of documents for projects. Prepare reports and letters.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Education | Experience: What you will bring to our firm: BS in Mechanical Engineering/BAE in Architectural Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) License or E.I.T. is desired but not a requirement. 4+ years of applicable experience. Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Expertise with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Specialized experience in advanced software applications is desirable. Good oral and written communication skills. Some experience with management of small work groups and project tasks.
Compensation: The salary range for this role is $90,000-$110,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
