Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist supports the execution of multi-channel marketing initiatives that drive engagement, strengthen the brand, and inform members. This role develops content for digital and print, ensures brand consistency, and assists with day-to-day marketing operations. Responsibilities include creating engaging and relevant content for various channels-such as the website, emails, and social media-and using graphic design and layout software to produce flyers, email headers, and other graphics. Working closely with the Marketing Director and other departments, the Marketing Specialist helps bring campaigns and materials to life in support of organizational goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Write engaging, brand-aligned copy for email campaigns, blog posts, newsletters, websites, digital banners, and online banking platforms.
  • Use graphic design and layout software (Adobe, Canva) to create marketing materials such as flyers, email headers, newsletters, digital ads, and other collateral, or collaborate with designers as needed, following brand guidelines.
  • Assist in producing print and collateral materials, including brochures, in-branch signage, direct mail pieces, and other print production needs.
  • Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and style across all member communications, and edit/proofread content to maintain clarity, accuracy, and quality standards.
  • Build and maintain a library of marketing assets, including copy, testimonials, images, and creative files, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible.
  • Manage incoming marketing requests, maintain project calendars, and support campaign timelines, including administrative duties such as scheduling and documentation.
  • Coordinate company storefront operations, inventory management, promotional items, and vendor relationships.
  • Support the execution of the monthly social media calendar by creating, scheduling, and securing approvals for content.

Education/Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt tone to different audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
  • Understanding of brand identity and visual design principles
  • Experience with digital platforms (email platforms, CMS, online banking ad systems) is a plus
  • Experience with print production and collateral development
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in credit unions, banking, or financial services preferred
  • Knowledge of project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Trello)

The pay range for this position is listed above. Our pay ranges are designed to allow for candidates with various levels of experience and skill to be considered, and to allow room for growth to be achieved in a role over time. Generally, new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their individual combination of experience, knowledge, skills, and education as well as internal equity.
