Manufacturing Engineering Technician - II

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician - II to join our team. The ideal candidate will support Manufacturing through maintenance and technical improvements of assembly and service department equipment and processes. They may also support the Manufacturing Engineering group pre-production part build activities and equipment trials as assigned.

Your priorities include:

  • Participates in activities required to build prototype and pre-production sample parts.
  • Assists with confirmation trials of assembly equipment.
  • Provides technical support for equipment installation, set-up, and troubleshooting.
  • Organizes and maintains an inventory of components and equipment needed for prototype builds.
  • Prepares, summarizes, and reports trial data for manufacturing and engineering groups.
  • Supervises and coordinates the work of hourly and temporary personnel in the prototype area.

Salary range: $60,000 - $85,000

Your background includes:

  • High School diploma or GED, plus 3 years of technical work experience in assembly process in a manufacturing facility.
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology, and experience in the following areas is preferred:
    • Machine set-up
    • PLC and robotic programming
    • Hot plate, vibration, and sonic welding
    • Forward and signal lighting assembly practices
