Eaton's Aerospace Sector is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our team. This position is based at our Torrance CA facility.
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will be responsible for one of manufacturing engineering projects dedicated to work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedure creation, in addition to other duties as assigned. The manufacturing engineering function is responsible for creating cycles of improvement throughout the organization by leading capital deployment, continuous improvement / cost-out projects, and other operations excellence initiatives.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an engineering discipline at an accredited institution (college or university).
Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA or higher.
Relocation is not provided for this role. Candidates must reside within the immediate geographic area to be considered.
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications:
CAD experience (SolidWorks) and required working knowledge and experience with computers preferred.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP).
Strong coaching and facilitation skills.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
Bilingual (Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese)
Experience with PCB assembly or soldering.
Skills:
Ability to absorb knowledge and build a technical understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes.
Ability to develop and apply fundamental understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodologies at site.
Ability to identify wastes and opportunities for cost saving improvements.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate articulately and professionally across many organizational levels and functions.
Highly motivated, works with a sense of urgency, driven to add value and deliver results.
