Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of 6S and Lean Manufacturing principles, coupled with advanced technical skills to drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage continuous improvement projects to enhance production efficiency.

Develop and maintain work instructions and documentation to ensure smooth operations.

Hold production teams accountable to ensure processes are maintained and improved.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the manufacturing process.

Develop and deliver training programs to enhance team capabilities.

Essential Skills:

In-depth knowledge of 6S and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Experience with CREO CAD systems or equivalent 3D CAD software.

Working knowledge of ERP systems.

Proficient in advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and AutoCAD.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in project management and leading improvement projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Programming skills (LabView and PLC) preferred.

Experience with the interaction between manufacturing equipment and IT systems.

Demonstrated achievement in implementing Lean practices in an operations environment.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, MN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
