As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, and material handling.
Optimize machine arrangements to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Develop operation sequences and specify procedures for tool fabrication and equipment functionality.
Adapt equipment designs to meet production and factory requirements.
Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans.
Evaluate machinery and equipment performance, initiating corrective actions as necessary to maintain product quality.
Implement statistical process control techniques and advise on their integration.
Provide design input to engineering for optimal equipment and manufacturing methods.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required with two years of professorial experience.
Experience utilizing and interpreting engineering documents including blueprints and specifications.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Desired Skills:
2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
Professional experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including design engineering, manufacturing planning, scheduling, facilities engineering, and industrial engineering.
Ability to mentor and teach individuals or small groups.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Experience with C-130J manufacturing and assembly processes.
Experience with Capital Planning process and requirements.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
