Manufacturing Engineer

You will develop methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Lead productivity projects using lean and six sigma manufacturing. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of our product lines. Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. You will report to the Team Lead, Manufacturing Engineer and work onsite 5 days a week in Ladysmith, WI.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Identifying opportunities for modernization and automation throughout the manufacturing processes
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies
  • Interfacing with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products
  • Estimating manufacturing cost, determining time standards and making recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines
  • Maintaining records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
  • Responding to manufacturing problems by investigating and resolving such problems to assure a continuing flow of production
  • Complete process ownership for all aspects of assigned manufacturing processes including managing projects proficiently, efficiently, and with full accountability for project results
  • Responsible for process improvement efforts, including identifying core value-adding processes and maximizing their performance and productivity while integrating and streamlining processes throughout the supply chain and ensuring adoption of best maximum efficiency
