Manufacturing Engineer
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of manufacturing processes such as line efficiencies, material flow, and lean principles. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will work closely with team members within Engineering Operations, Supply Chain and Quality to ensure timely production and launch of new and existing products and maintenance of line improvement projects.
Primary Job Duties:
- Optimize work center layouts, material flow and processes to improve productivity and eliminate waste
- Champion 5S and Lean Manufacturing culture on the shop floor
- Provide root cause analysis support to eliminate disturbances
- Improve product throughput by reducing cycle times, setup times, and overall lead time
- Work with production teams to drive KPI (key performance indicator) improvement
- Manage and coordinate product and equipment launches, installations and phase out activities
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety and environmental regulations
- Monitor and improve operational processes
- Create work instructions for assembled and fabricated components
- Commission new capital equipment in production
- Maintain knowledge of best-in-class processes for product configuration and assembly
- Direct and implement lean and green activities to support S&Os Lean Culture
- Work effectively with functions such as Safety, Distribution, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales and HR
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of manufacturing improvement experience
- CNC machining experience strongly preferred
- BS in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
- Lean Certification is preferred
- Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and/or Power BI experience a plus
- Able to occasionally travel if needed
- Able to perform the physical demands of the job including:
- Ability to safely navigate a manufacturing environment
- Ability to use office, phone and computer equipment
- Prolonged periods of walking and standing
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

Salary: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00/year
