Job Overview
The Development Engineer provides economical solutions to create and improve processes for the manufacture of wire and cable. This position interacts with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Cable Assembly Engineering, Manufacturing, Test Laboratories, raw material suppliers, and equipment manufacturers. This position is responsible for the development and industrialization activities required of a high precision, high bandwidth product base.
Job Requirements
Process/Product validation & transfer - Extrusion Assist with product/process qualification Provide Technical Support to TE Bulk Cable Manufacturing sites Provide Training Support for Extrusion Process for the Pant Teams Interact with test lab on product/process qualification activities Support process improvement activities plus DOE, PFMEA, 8D & FA Tooling Specification & Design Support Cost Reduction Initiatives Support SAFE Activities Support ISO Activities Provide Technical support for maintenance activities Provide any support for any activities or projects necessary to support the business
What your background should look like
Plastics, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Degree preferred. Min 7 years experience in a wire & cable manufacturing. Knowledge of extrusion monitoring & control systems desirable Proficient in SPC/Six Sigma/Lean Knowledge of materials used in the manufacture of wire & cable a plus. Knowledge of additional manufacturing processes & equipment used in the manufacture of wire & cable a plus.

COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $124,000 - $155,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
