Logistics Operations Specialist
As a Logistics Operations Specialist, you'll actively support and streamline our transportation network, supporting both domestic and international operations. This hands-on role will give you essential experience working cross-functionally with supply chain, sales, accounting, and customer service while building your logistics acumen in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to customers
- Prepare and review transportation documentation (Bills of Lading, Proof of Delivery, freight invoices, RMAs) with accuracy
- Serve as a key point of contact for freight carriers and resolve shipment issues, delays, or damages promptly
- Support order scheduling and manage shipment tracking logs for high-volume clients
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to provide rate quotes, status updates, and resolve service inquiries
- Maintain compliance with food safety and audit requirements (GFSI, etc.)
- Organize and update key logistics data, regularly prepare transportation KPIs and highlight irregularities
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and participate in short- and long-term logistics projects
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 1+ year experience in transportation coordination, logistics, or a warehouse environment; experience with freight carriers preferred
- Proficiency with large ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, WMS)
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required)
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to process accuracy and compliance
- Experience with Manhattan software is a plus
