The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) located at the Cleveland, OH VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time Lead Retail Sales Associate to provide quality service to our nation's veterans.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The Lead Retail Sales Associate has responsibility for control of retail sales operations in the Canteen Service under the general instructions of the Canteen Chief.
Duties:
Assists customer in locating products and provides detailed information to enhance their shopping experience.
Assists in receiving, inspecting, counting and weighing incoming merchandise deliveries.
Restocks merchandise and ensures products are properly labeled for display.
Maintains a clean & organized store environment, ensuring a pleasant & efficient shopping experience.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to lead RSA staff with enthusiasm.
Learning to cover all the different stations as needed to endure a smooth-running department and cover breaks when needed.

Requirements:
Inventory management
ServSafe Manager certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel) and experience with Point-of-Sale systems are required.
Strong hands-on leadership skills with a focus on service and hospitality are essential.
Must have a minimum of one year of direct supervisory experience in food service or retail.
Ability to organize daily tasks
Ability to develop and train in a mentor capacity.
Requires constant standing, walking, and frequent bending.
Must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.
A current, valid REAL ID is required to work at Veterans Canteen Service.
