Entry-Level It Technician

This client is seeking a motivated Entry-Level IT Technician to join our growing IT team. This role will provide hands-on technical support for our Houston office and assist with help desk operations across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable, and capable of handling both routine troubleshooting and dynamic on-site requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide desktop support and basic troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
  • Manage help desk tickets via ConnectWise and respond to support requests through Teams, email, and in-person.
  • Assist with hardware moves and setups, including servers, switches, and UPS devices (must lift up to 50 lbs).
  • Support a hybrid IT environment including:
    • Dell computers and servers
    • M365 Saas (SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Excel) Support/Administration
    • Active Directory and Azure sync Support/Administration
    • Perform basic network troubleshooting (Meraki firewalls, Unifi equipment). Basic Tier 1/2 support
    • Collaborate with internal IT team and MSP partners for escalations.
    • Document work performed and maintain accurate ticket records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of IT support experience or equivalent hands-on exposure.
  • Windows OS and Microsoft 365 suite
  • Networking fundamentals
  • Strong critical thinking and ability to prioritize tasks without strict scripts.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs for equipment moves.

365 SaaS support, EntraID, tier 1/2 Support, Desktop, Troubleshooting, Help desk support, Customer service

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+
    • Experience with ConnectWise ticketing system.
    • Familiarity with hybrid environments and cloud technologies.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
