Job Title

The primary purpose of this position is to support the 96th Test Wing through deployment and sustainment of robust operation capabilities, programs and services. Responsibilities include Information Technology Asset Management for Eglin Air Force Base, operating the central receiving function for IT equipment, and serving as the Base Software License Manager. Provides customer support, assistance, training, and orientation.

Requirements include experience in assisting with base level accountability of sensitive information technology equipment and asset management operations and support of the installation's information technology equipment, computers, network equipment and all other IT equipment assets; assisting with the receiving, acceptance, distribution and accountability of all IT assets; assisting as a base software license manager; providing management assistance and consultation on processes; establishing procedures. The experience must demonstrate each of the following four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem solving.

Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the following fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks is required. Must submit all relevant transcripts.

Ideal candidate has experience in Information Technology field, information technology asset management, knowledge of Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM), knowledge of Information Technology equipment, ITAM use and application, experience operating a warehouse and a central receiving function, and a working knowledge of the Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS).

Qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: interpretation and application of DoD, Joint, and AF management principles, concepts, methodologies and ITAM directives, procedures, guidance, and policy; knowledge of IT hardware and software and its application and use throughout the various missions and organizations; knowledge of the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) to receive, add, transfer and excess IT assets; to manage account information to include equipment custodians, office symbols, active and inactive accounts and inventory status; knowledge of ITAM inventory procedures and ability to prepare inventory reports; skill in providing advice and technical guidance to representatives from installation organizations; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others.
