The Information Systems Operations Analyst 1 - Deployment Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems and software within an organization. This role includes setting up and configuring hardware and software on Desktops, Laptops, and Tablets. Deployment Technicians manage the replacement and upgrade of outdated or damaged equipment, provide training and support to end-users on new systems and technologies, and maintain detailed records of installations, upgrades, and repairs. Essential skills include proficiency with operating systems and security, strong problem-solving and communication abilities.

Information Technology Services (ITS) is a 24x7 information technology shop. Applicant must be willing and available to perform duties as required by the job. This may include work on nights, weekends and holidays and may include overtime hours but only as necessary.

Typical Duties:

• Installation of new workstations (hardware, operating systems, application software) following departmental standards.
• Utilizing Microsoft SCCM to install OS image and software.
• Document known issues and resolutions to be shared with internal team members.
• Review literature, consult with experts, and coordinate with vendors to identify appropriate hardware and/or software solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• One (1) year of experience in information technology Desktop Support and the Microsoft SCCM asset management system.
• Education may be considered in lieu of some experience
• License Required: Valid Driver License
• Candidate must receive and maintain a status of "pass" from Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) background check.
• Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.
• Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 1 year experience supporting Windows 10 operating systems
• 1 year experience supporting and configuring computer hardware/software
• 1 year experience working in a technical customer service environment
• 1 year experience working with a ticket tracking system (e.g. Microsoft SCSM, ServiceNow, Cherwell, etc.)
