Industrial Engineer

Candidate will be focused on conducting time studies to determine and implement new and more efficient ways for material flow and/or general assembly. Will be focused on specific area of the plant or business unit (paint, body, assembly, materials, etc.). Will work with current industrial engineer that is head of this area, however person will have to work independently and perform job tasks with little direction. In addition will be responsible for line balancing and helping to smooth out and bottlenecks in the assembly process. Must be able to work with all levels of the organization. Other responsibilities could include:

Assists in establishing operational methods and work standards using various measurement techniques.

Analyzes existing operations and proposes cost justified improvements.

Optimizes use of floor space, materials, personnel and equipment.

Assists in planning new facilities, operations and/or relocation of same.

Qualifications:

Must have Bachelors degree in Engineering

Prior experience performing and analyzing time studies

Ability to conduct line balancing activities

5+ years of experience

Preferred

Knowledge of AutoCAD

Experience Level

Intermediate Level

This is a contract position based out of Roanoke, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.50/hr.
