You will serve as an HR SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT/CLASSIFICATION) at MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII. Responsibilities include conducting job analysis, preparing crediting plans, defining specialized experience, and determining skills for recruitment purposes. You will effectively use all automated systems and tools to include DCPDS and USA Staffing Tool. You will prepare and provide detailed documentation and/or responses for resolution of formal and informal grievances, complaints, and inquiries. You will perform technical staffing and compliance functions for internal and external placement programs and provide advisory services related to recruitment efforts for the serviced activities. You will conduct position management and classification studies and surveys following established procedures to schedule, report, clear and present recommendations. You will interpret and explain classification criteria and prepare advisory opinions on the classification of positions.
Requirements include your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate assisting and providing management on a full range of Human Resources recruitment, placement, and classification services for the command.
Education requirements include meeting the positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual. In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or an LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position.
