A reputable healthcare organization in Escondido is looking for a detail-oriented HR Administrative Assistant to support human resources operations including onboarding, compliance, employee records, and general administrative workflows. Key Responsibilities
Assist with the onboarding process including new hire packets, I-9 verification, credentialing, background checks, and orientation scheduling
Maintain accurate and confidential HR files, digital records, and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and company policies
Support employee relations by helping schedule meetings, respond to staff inquiries, and route information to HR leadership
Prepare and maintain HR spreadsheets including training logs, credential expirations, leave tracking, and performance review reminders
Assist HR leadership with compliance reporting (EEO-1, OSHA logs, labor postings, and policy updates)
Post job ads, screen resumes for basic criteria, and coordinate interview scheduling
Support benefits administration including enrollment, change requests, and new hire clarification
Assist with payroll processing tasks such as timecard review and missing punches tracking
Requirements
1-2 years of administrative support experience (HR, medical, or office environment preferred)
Strong attention to detail and comfort handling confidential information
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF tools, and HRIS systems (any platform)
Strong communication and customer-service skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy in a busy office
Interest in progressing into HR, compliance, or employee relations
