Hotel Maintenance Supervisor

The hotel maintenance supervisor is responsible for overseeing all physical maintenance operations of the property, including HVAC systems, commercial electrical (220V), plumbing, pool, landscaping, and pest control. This hands-on role requires leadership, technical expertise, and regulatory knowledge. A valid PA pesticide application certification is also required for property-wide pest and vegetation management.

Schedule requires flexibility: 8am-4pm Mon-Fri and events.

Supervision & property maintenance:

Supervise the maintenance team and delegate daily tasks and preventive maintenance schedules.

Perform and oversee repairs to guest rooms, public spaces, mechanical systems, and exterior areas.

Maintain all critical systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and refrigeration.

HVAC systems:

Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC units (split systems, rooftop units, heat pumps, etc.).

Perform preventive maintenance on heating and cooling systems.

Monitor and adjust controls for proper environmental comfort and energy efficiency.

Electrical systems (including 220V commercial):

Troubleshoot and repair commercial-grade 220V electrical systems and panels.

Install, maintain, and repair wiring, outlets, switches, breakers, and lighting.

Ensure all electrical work complies with local codes and hotel safety standards.

Pesticide application & grounds care:

Safely apply herbicides and insecticides per PA pesticide license regulations.

Maintain treatment records and ensure safe storage and use of chemicals.

Supervise landscaping, lawn mowing, and snow/ice removal.

Administrative & inventory control:

Manage maintenance logs, daily slips, and compliance documentation.

Order and inventory tools, supplies, and parts.

Assist in preparing and maintaining the maintenance budget.

High school diploma or GED required; trade or technical school a plus.

Valid PA pesticide applicator certification (core + appropriate category).

Strong experience in commercial HVAC and 220V electrical systems is required.

Minimum 3--5 years in hotel, commercial, or facility maintenance.

Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Proficient in use of diagnostic tools, power tools, and maintenance software
