Hotel Laundry Attendant

The Hotel Laundry Attendant is responsible for the processing of soiled linen on a daily basis.

This position will support the Qavartarvik Customer Lodge in Bethel, AK. Seeking to hire local Bethel residents. This is a non-rotational position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
  • Sorting, weighing, and loading linen into washer and dryer.
  • Safely operating various washers and dryers while maintaining productivity standards.
  • Removing linen immediately from dryers to prevent wrinkles and folding linen according to standards.
  • Placing folded linen on marked shelves and transporting to floor linen rooms in a timely fashion.
  • Checking washing machine drains to prevent clogging and informing engineering if maintenance is needed.
  • Maintaining a well-organized, neat laundry room by damp mopping the floor, cleaning washers and dryers, and cleaning lint traps on a daily basis.
  • Emptying all washers and dryers and turning all machines off at completion of shift.
  • Wearing proper uniform at all times as specified in the associate handbook.
  • Assisting with Housekeeping as needed.
  • Performing other duties pertinent to the department or unit’s success.
  • Qualifications:

    • Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
    • Contract requires candidate to get a flu shot pre-hire and annually thereafter.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Preference will be given to those candidates with at least six (6) months experience in the hospitality industry, hospital and/or contract cleaning.
