We are looking for a dynamic Hospitality Sales Manager to join our team in Monterey, California. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by cultivating new accounts and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of event management, and hospitality operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional services and experiences for clients.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing catering clients to achieve revenue targets.
Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities through prospecting and networking efforts.
Coordinate and oversee client events, ensuring high-quality service and successful execution.
Collaborate with various hotel departments, including guest services, housekeeping, and food and beverage, to ensure seamless event delivery.
Create and maintain detailed records of client needs, event requirements, and operational details.
Design and propose upscale and customized menus that meet client preferences and maintain pricing integrity.
Work closely with vendors and planners to coordinate seamless event setups and logistics.
Monitor and manage the function diary to maximize revenue potential and optimize space utilization.
Actively participate in departmental training programs and contribute to staff development.
Address client feedback to continuously improve service quality and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in the hospitality or hotel industry, preferably in sales or event management.
Strong proficiency in computer systems, including Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing tools.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.
A positive and detail-oriented approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Flexibility to work extended hours and adapt to changing schedules as needed.
Physical ability to handle medium-level tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
A degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and solve problems efficiently.
