This position is located at the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), U.S. Military Academy, West Point. The U.S. Military Academy at West Point is a four-year academic institution, a nationally-renowned historic site, and the oldest continuously occupied military post in America. The undergraduates, known as cadets, are commissioned as officers in the US Army upon graduation.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to Inspect. Ability to do the work of a Food Service Work Inspector without more than normal supervision to include: (1) inspecting contractor performance through visual inspection and/or reading of temperature gauges; (2) preparing reports of deficiencies observed during inspections; and (3) understanding contract specifications in order to ensure compliance with the service contract. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. To meet the basic eligibility, you must receive at least two points on the screen-out element indicated above and must have an average of two points on all the job elements listed below.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: The work regularly requires extended periods of standing or walking while performing duties at the United States Military Academy (USMA) and Camp Buckner.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office and the Cadet Mess feeding area, which are adequately heated, lighted and ventilated. Surfaces may be slippery. Works a rotating shift which involves weekend work. The work may require the employee to travel to Camp Buckner or to various other locations to conduct inspections.
