Lead the design and build of heat-treating furnaces and related handling equipment.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal design team members, external customers, and suppliers, guiding projects from initial contact through start-up and completion.
Travel domestically and internationally to perform equipment installation, start-up, commissioning, and final testing.
Utilize a strong background in systems integration to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Apply knowledge of heat theory, manufacturing guides, and combustion theories, including familiarity with burner systems and PLCs.
Operate as a self-starter, managing time and resources effectively to execute field service duties independently.
Required Qualifications
5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Field Service Engineer or Technician, preferably with heavy industrial machinery.
Demonstrable expertise in the integration and troubleshooting of combined electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Proven ability to work effectively with design teams, customers, and suppliers.
Must be a highly motivated and independent self-starter.
Must be available for domestic and foreign travel (mostly in the midwest, 30-40%)
Relevant technical degree or certification.
