Environmental Services Technician Leader

This position is located within the Environmental Management Services Division of a VA Medical Center. This position is under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor or designee. This position performs both janitorial and custodial services at the VA Medical Center located in Fort Harrison, Montana.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and overseeing the duties of Environmental Services Technicians in the performance of housekeeping related services in the various areas of the medical center.
• Utilizing responsibility for co-planning and organizing weekend/night-shift manpower utilization.
• Assisting Environmental Services Technicians in accomplishing cleaning assignments.
• Giving new employees on the job training and demonstrations.
• Determining the equipment and cleaning materials needed for each job.
• Inspecting work in progress and completed work.
• Maintaining carpets, vinyl tiles, vinyl sheet goods, terrazzo, rubber and concrete floors.

Work Schedule: Various shifts, may include some weekends and holidays.

Requirements include:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Subject to background/security investigation.
• Pre-employment physical required.
