Project Engineer (Mechanical Designer)

Location: Canton, OH 44706

Pay: $25-$31/hr (up to $33/hr based on experience)

Schedule: Flexible

Standard shift: (4) 10-hour days

Options: 5x8s or 4x9s + half day

Overtime on Fridays when required

About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer (internally titled Project Engineer) to join our growing team. This is a long-term career opportunity-we are not looking for consultants. You will work closely with shop personnel and engineering teams to interpret designs, create customer approval drawings, and manage project materials.

Key Responsibilities

Review, plan, and estimate time for projects

Create customer approval drawings

Layout, design, and detail CAD drawings

Prepare requisitions for purchasing parts

Collaborate with shop personnel to interpret engineering designs

Develop project bills of material

Quote drawings

Must-Have Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design (or equivalent experience)

0-4+ years drafting experience, including sheet metal fabrication

0-2+ years in switchgear or sheet metal design and CAD

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr.
