Electrical Engineer

You will serve as an Electrical Engineer in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING SYSTEMS COMMAND. Responsibilities include providing leadership and expert technical skills in verifying that all MTF projects are complete and have met the intent of the electrical and communications requirements. You will make decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing important public policies or programs within the design and construction of Medical Treatment Facilities. You will provide technical guidance of assigned programs dealing with the acquisition of medical/dental facilities, general policy guidance and administrative direction. You will be responsible to the Navy Medical Facilities Program's Director for carrying out all technical aspects assigned and delegated to develop work plans, establish priorities, and determine quality of performance.

Requirements include demonstrating at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: interpreting standards, codes and practices of electrical engineering governing the identification, execution and delivery of technical products and services, making decisions or recommendations significantly changing, interpreting, or developing important public policies or programs within the design and construction of Medical Treatment Facilities, and providing technical guidance of assigned programs dealing with the acquisition of medical/dental facilities, general policy guidance and administrative direction with assignments in terms of broadly defined missions or functions from the Director, MFPO.

Basic requirements for 0850 Electrical Engineer include a degree in engineering or a combination of education and experience that furnished a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.
