Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

We're seeking a forward-thinking Electrical Controls Engineer to join our New Product Development team in New Orleans, LA. Here, you'll partner with diverse industry experts, own your outcomes, and see your solutions deployed globally. What You'll Do:

Design, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot controls and data acquisition systems for both custom and vendor-supplied test equipment.

Architect, document, and implement advanced control systems-including panel design, power distribution, safety systems, control panel and wiring, and component selection.

Program, integrate, and optimize control solutions using major PLC/HMI platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Beckhoff, etc.).

Deploy industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.) and VFDs (Rockwell, Siemens, ABB, Danfoss, Schneider, etc.), including Kinetix control architecture.

Develop intuitive user interfaces (C#, Visual Studio, and other languages).

Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to world-class quality standards.

Own project management by developing and maintaining project scope, task lists, timelines, and high-impact documentation.

What You'll Bring:

B.S. in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Demonstrated experience (5+ years preferred) in modern controls system architecture, design, and programming.

Hands-on proficiency with PLC/HMI, VFDs, and industrial networking protocols.

Knowledge of industry standards and electrical code (IEEE, NEC, IEC).

Solid understanding of mechanical systems and effective communication skills.

Self-managed team player who thrives in a fast-paced, continuously improving environment.
