The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Demonstrates the organization's core values and displays the highest level of customer service to internal/external customers. Delivers training, retraining, provides continuing education, in-services, and performs competency assessments. Assesses learner competence and provides timely, constructive and thoughtful feedback. Provides oversight and supervision to employees during training period. Assess performance needs and develop training plan in response to management requests for re-training by performing work observations and identifying performance gaps. Recommends course of action for employees not meeting competency expectations, including development plans, possible reassignments or separations. Assists Instructional Designer and LMS Specialists in education program development for Donor Services staff. Prepares PowerPoint, oral, written and video presentations for training purposes. Assists with developing and executing training plans for new processes, procedures, and process improvements. Accountable for all training documentation and record maintenance. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert to Donor Services staff. Participates in process validation activities. Serves on various committees and teams. Designs and executes error remediation training as a result of detection of quality errors. Remediation includes identifying what course of action must be taken to correct the error; what method of training delivery must be employed; and delivers applicable training to ensure error does not happen again. Collaborates with Donor Services management and other departments as applicable for Donor Services Education. Maintains competency in all functions including DS Team Lead as well as other roles as needed (i.e. driver/apheresis specialties). Assesses impact of process/procedural change and make/facilitate appropriate state level changes. Coordinates training schedules of staff with leadership. Works collectively with team of educators to plan and schedule resources to meet operational needs. Reviews training that needs to be delivered across respective states (e.g. new hire training, apheresis training, TL training, new process training, error remediation, etc.); schedules locations, rooms, equipment, and resources to ensure operational training is delivered as promised. Travel to company locations outside of home location as needed (10%-30%)

High School Diploma required
Associate's Degree preferred
Education/Training experience or certificate in education preferred
Experience
1-3 years blood banking experience required
Previous education/training or presenting experience, a working knowledge of adult learning principles and presentation basics preferred
Strong customer service experience preferred
1-3 years phlebotomy experience required
