Edrive Mechanical Engineering Intern (Year-Round)

Location: U S : Auburn Hills, MI

The eDrive Mechanical Intern will work with the North American product release team, focused on the design and release of EV propulsion systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting eDrive (electric motor + gearbox) engineers with daily tasks
  • Supporting component teardowns and part evaluations
  • Submitting and tracking lab work requests
  • Submitting and tracking CAD work requests
  • Gather test samples and providing to the required lab areas
  • Working with build room technicians to support proto@type builds
  • Writing and submitting engineering test reports
  • Supporting competitor product bench marking activities
  • Updating and debugging engineering template/tools

What we're looking for:

  • Fluent in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Mechanically inclined, familiar with vehicle driveline architecture
  • Ability to apply academic learnings on job
  • 2D/3D CAD experience
  • Experience interpreting 2D Drawings
