General Description
The Director of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of operations management, provides leadership and development to the operations team, manages the profitability of the region, creates and maintains positive relationships with customers.
Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide leadership to the entire operations team focusing on employee development, retention, and discipline.
Assists with the development of key processes to meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
Maintain profitability of all accounts by reviewing budgets and creating ways to accomplish work within the budget.
Coordinate new account start-ups ensuring a successful contract transition.
Monitors and analyses labor trends to develop best practices to provide quality service and cost efficiencies.
Oversee quality control on all accounts.
Work with sales to obtain new business.
Help with hiring and training of management positions.
Work with operations team to ensure customer satisfaction.
Other tasks or duties as assigned by the VP of Operations.
LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT
Develop and train their team to support company initiatives.
Is an exemplary role model that upholds all company values for employees as well as represents the company at events.
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the operations department. Is an active member in the organization EOS Leadership program. Bring attention to company issues and find solutions to resolve those issues.
Position Requirements
EXPERIENCE
10+ years of experience in commercial cleaning preferred.
5+ years of experience in operations, medical environment, and team management.
COMPETENCIES
Proficient analytical skills to analyze data and streamline processes.
Budgeting expertise to manage and optimize expenses.
Excellent customer service skills to work with clients and address concerns.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong commitment to high-level service and quality standards.
Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, develop, and lead teams.
Willingness to work a variable schedule to include day, evening, and night shifts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates within multiple work environments including office, manufacturing, schools, medical facilities, etc. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a sedentary role with travel. The ability to lift files, stand, bend, stoop, and walk is required. Requires ability to use a keyboard, monitor, and phone. Requires ability to communicate verbally with others.
This position requires individuals to be able to drive up to 120 minutes one-way. When offsite, this role requires extensive walking indoors and some outdoors.
