Cyber Systems Security Engineers are responsible for applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, validate and verify cyber solutions across the lifecycle. They conduct cyber risk assessment activities including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and analysis of mitigation solutions. They also coordinate with cyber and system architects and developers to provide oversight in the development of solutions, and addresses supply chain risk management concerns.
Basic Qualifications:
Solid experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Solid experience with Kubernetes
Solid experience employing Security Incident and Event Management services, Splunk preferred
Solid experience architecting and implementing secured environments
Solid experience with Risk Management Framework Processes (RMF), DoD 8510.01 RMF preferred
Experience conducting threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and analysis of mitigation solutions
Experience working with Agile development environments
Must be DoD 8140 Qualified IAT Level II certification or higher
Must be able to obtain DoD TS clearance
Secret clearance required on Day 1
Desired Skills:
Engineering and/or CAMEO
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps tools (Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD)
Experience with Offensive or Defensive Cyber Operations and respective tools (Snort, Suricata, Zeek/Bro)
Experience with Git source control and Gitlab CI/CD Pipelines
Experience with Software Assurance (SBOMs, Static Code Analysis)
Experience with Zero Trust Architecture to support DoD Mandates
Ability to review and provide input to system requirements based on existing cybersecurity posture
Develop specialized cyber software solutions and tools based on mission requirements
